Who is Aim High?

Aim High Music Foundation ("Aim High") is a charitable organization that provides contempory music education and performance opportunity to youths from all walks of lives. Our teenager members are all from diverse backgrounds, including low-income families, ethnic minorities, students with learning disabilities/mental health issues, and new immigrants.

How Did We Start?

During COVID, we started a project "I AM HERE" in Sham Shui Po that served over 50 youths focusing on vocal and band training. The participating youths faced various challenges, including hidden SEN (Special Educational Needs) symptoms such as mental and emotional issues, struggles related to family trauma, school bullying, and not to mention the lack of financial resources.

This progam is aimed to create a supportive and inclusive environment where young people could express themselves and build their self-confidence. The program also addressed their emotional well-being, providing a platform to discuss and cope with their personal challenges.

We were thrilled to witness the significant changes in our members' lives. Several embarked on professional performing art careers, including securing positions at renowned institutions like Disneyland Hong Kong. Others are pursuing music degrees at renowned universities, and not to mention a few members were able to resume their studies following extended absence from school.

These stories demonstrate the transformative power of our program, not only in nurturing musical abilities but also in empowering young individuals to pursue their dreams and unlock their full musical potential.

In October 2022, Aim High was established with the Chapter 88 approval from the HKSAR Government and continued to carry out the charity work started by I AM HERE.
